It is the mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to enhance the quality of life for women and their families in the U. S. and globally through community service, civil, and social action. The Addie M. Corbett and Pearl J. Howell Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide annual scholarship aid to graduating high school seniors, regardless of race or sex, in pursuit of higher education. Applicants must be residents of the city of Philadelphia.
